Maurice J. Houston, Esquire, is a Philadelphia native, the product of the city's public school system and long time contributor to making change in Philadelphia. He is the youngest of six children and currently resides in Germantown with his wife.
Maurice graduated from LaSalle University (B.S. Finance ’90) and Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D. ’97).” Currently, working as a solo practitioner, concentrating on estate planning, entity formation and land use development. Maurice has a strong belief that transferring family wealth and wealth management are important components of establishing financial independence for future generations.
Maurice’s twenty-four-year experience in the legal profession includes, serving as Vice-President for Reliance Trust Company of Delaware, Senior Counsel for the Philadelphia Housing Authority, Staff Attorney with Regional Housing Legal Services, Legislative Counsel for the Honorable Sheila Jackson-Lee, United States House of Rep. 18th Congressional District of Texas and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida.
Maurice is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and currently serves as President
of a local chapter in Philadelphia. He is the immediate past president of the Philadelphia Club of Frontiers International, the local chapter for the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Mr. Houston is a member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church.
